Rabbits are social creatures, and should be housed with at least one other bunny. Please consider adoption a bonded pair of bunnies, or inquire about suitable partners.
Salt and Pepper's Story
Salt and Pepper came into the rescue as babies found in peoples yards. They were found on separate locations but we kept them together or companionship as they were only about 6 weeks old when found. They got along so well that we kept them together.
The bunny bond is extremely important, and so we will never break up a bonded pair for adoption. Both bunnies must be adipted at the same time.
INDOOR HOMES ONLY
We only adopt to indoor rabbit homes. Domestic rabbits are not like their wild counterparts and should not be housed outdoors for many reasons. Acceptable housing must be verified before adoption.
Rabbits can live to be 10-12 years old. Please be prepared for a life-long commitment as the process of changing families and environments can be very hard on the bunny.
Rabbits require enough room to run around, and a diet mostly comprised of hay. Make sure you are considering a large enough space for your rabbit, and please check to make sure there is no one with hay allergies in your household that might interfere with housing your rabbit inside.
Regular nail trims, grooming and annual vet visits are necessary to ensure the best health for your rabbit.
If you are adopting a rabbit to be a companion to an existing one in your family, we do have speed dating available. If you have a home with other pets or children, please be aware that not all rabbits do well with all other animals. We are here to help if you have any questions on how best to keep your new rabbit safe and comfortable.
