Scotchy's story:
Scotchy is a chill, friendly, 4- to 5-year-old neutered male who is great about using his litter box. He gets along with respectful cats, dogs, and kids. He likes being pet and will binky and play. Like most rabbits, he chews material and carpets, so he must be supervised while free roaming. He is great in a metal x-pen with vinyl on the floor and does not chew his litter box. He loves bunny safe wood, cardboard, and toys and will beg for greens. He would also do well with a female spayed friend. He will be coming into our rescue if a home is not found. If you are interested, please let us know and we can make arrangements for a meet and greet.
INDOOR HOMES ONLY
We only adopt to indoor rabbit homes. Domestic rabbits are not like their wild counterparts and should not be housed outdoors for many reasons. Acceptable housing must be verified before adoption.
Rabbits can live to be 10-12 years old. Please be prepared for a life-long commitment as the process of changing families and environments can be very hard on the bunny.
Rabbits require enough room to run around, and a diet mostly comprised of hay. Make sure you are considering a large enough space for your rabbit, and please check to make sure there is no one with hay allergies in your household that might interfere with housing your rabbit inside.
Regular nail trims, grooming and annual vet visits are necessary to ensure the best health for your rabbit.
If you are adopting a rabbit to be a companion to an existing one in your family, we do have speed dating available. If you have a home with other pets or children, please be aware that not all rabbits do well with all other animals. We are here to help if you have any questions on how best to keep your new rabbit safe and comfortable.
